Oh, my aching muscles...
The Pacific Northwest's Gardening Publication

From the Editor

I started publishing Northwest Garden News in 1995, while I held a full-time job. A lot has happened since then—I've seen some gardening publications come and go. But my commitment to bringing high-quality gardening information to readers gets stronger by the year.

My goal is to help readers be the most successful gardeners they can be. I want to inspire readers to love gardening—and I hope that passion will carry on to future generations.

I believe that gardeners can restore health to our planet, one backyard at a time. We can provide habitat for wildlife, restore urban forests, and create natural spaces for future generations to grow up in.

I believe we must maintain a relationship with nature for our physical and mental health. Since many of us live in urban or suburban environments, gardening can provide that necessary link to nature. If Northwest Garden News provides information that enhances your relationship with the earth, we have done our job.

Please contact me if you have ideas, suggestions or solutions to help advance our goals.
